Prayer Group and other meetings

Weekly prayer meetings

From 7-8pm on Tuesday evenings we meet in the Church lounge to pray for ourselves, for our Parish and for the spread of the gospel in places all around the world. We believe God hears and answers our prayers and are convinced that everything our Church seeks to do in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ depends on our faithful prayer life together. Prayer is led by different people on a rota basis. At Mains we are trying to develop a wider international awareness and seek to uphold the work of Christ in other countries before the throne of grace. In prayer we also seek to praise God and to confess our sins.

House Groups

There are 2 house groups currently meeting, one on a Wednesday (weekly) and the other on a Thursday (fortnightly) evening in 2 different homes. This gives us a chance to meet together to share and discuss the Bible in a small group and many find this a real help to their spiritual life. Places and times of meetings are announced each Sunday. From time to time, the 2 house groups come together for a joint mid-week meeting held in the church when a common theme is explored together.
